The Academy graduate opened the scoring with a deft first half header and then followed that up with an even better second half strike.
Fellow new boy Allan meanwhile marked his first start for the Club with a fine goal to cap an encouraging display.
And with Rayan Cherki and substitute Ryan McAidoo also finding the target it was a display to savour with City’s reward a fourth-round home tie with Brighton.
